Senior High Camp Theme:
Who's Keeping Score
Are you ready for another awesome year at summer camp? This year Jeff Doud will be the camp speaker, and Parable and Witness from NNU will be joining us also! This year promises to be amazing! Our prayer has been that God will impact your life as you prepare for and attend camp this year. As time draws near there are a couple of last minute reminders that we want to make sure that you don’t miss.
Registration will begin at 1 pm on Monday, June 19th in the chalet and will end at 3 pm. It will be very helpful during check in that your group send one leader into the chalet to register the entire group. To help with this process please make sure that the individual registering your group has any outstanding monies and forms that are due, any medications for the camp nurse, and the number of shirts and sizes that your group will need. Hopefully, this will help expedite the registration process.
The themes for camp this year are as follows:
Monday-Movie Night, come dressed as your favorite movie character or star i.e. Superman, Napoleon Dynamite, a Jedi Master . . .
Tuesday-Duct Tape Night, wear something made out of duct tape, whether that be a bracelet, necklace, crown, t-shirt, skirt . . . Come ready to have some fun with duct tape creations.
Wednesday-The Resurgence of Plaid! Plaid is back! Wacky, cool and everything in between—just wear some plaid.
Thursday-Formal Night, need we even say anymore!
We also wanted to inform you before camp what this year’s camp offering will be used for. As most of you are aware there have been some amazing human rights atrocities taking place in Africa. We have an amazing opportunity to help kids and families in Africa who have been impacted by these atrocities. The money we raise this year will be given to World Vision who has received an 8 to 1 matching grant from the U.S. Government. What this means for us, is that our money is going to go 8 times further. If we raise $1,000, that will translate into $9,000 of food and daily necessities being given directly to people in need. Please come prepared to give and help those who so desperately need our help!
We are excited for another great year at camp. Please check out the OrPac NYI blog at orpacnyi.bfblog.com for more information on camp and other District events. |
