Church Planting homepage bannerChurch Planter Assessment Center

The Church Planter Assessment Center is an intensive three-day event during which ministers and spouses are observed and evaluated to determine the appropriateness of a specific minister to serve as the founding pastor of a new church. It is not an evaluation of a person’s qualifications for ministry in an existing church. It is essential that married couples attend together if at all possible.

There will also be Certified Assessor training for individuals wishing to become Certified Assessors. Those receiving training will serve as assessors for the assessment center and will receive pre-assessment and post-assessment training as well as “on-the job” training during the assessment center.  Certified assessors should gain the tools and experience to hold assessment centers on their own districts or area of ministry.
